Mahua Classic
Sun-dried whole flowers. A floral, honeyed cup with notes of ripe mango and warm hay.
A forest tea, quietly waited for
Each spring, the mahua tree drops its honeyed blossoms. We collect them by hand, sun-dry them slowly, and ship a cup of the central Indian forest to your kitchen.
The flower
The mahua tree (Madhuca longifolia) is a quiet giant of the central Indian forest. For generations, Gond and Baiga communities have gathered its fallen flowers at dawn, dried them in the sun, and brewed them into a sweet, slightly fermented tea that cools the body and lifts the spirit.
We work directly with harvesters in the Satpura hills — paying above market rate, drying the flowers in small lots, and packaging them within weeks of picking.
